Senior Case Manager
Salary: $65,000
Onsite Monday - Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

General Summary:
Processes business with optimal efficiency during the case management cycle to decrease case time in underwriting while providing excellent customer service. Possesses understanding of complex disability insurance products and underwriting matters.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Perform initial review of applications.
2. Pre-screen medical and financial inquiries.
3. Verify received requirements are accurate.
4. Resolve complex underwriting issues.
5. Assist in Case Manager training and development.
6. Perform policy maintenance and change requests requiring underwriting.
7. Follow-up on pending cases with both carriers and brokers, communicating status updates.
8. Document and send approvals and modified approvals to brokers.
9. Work with the Sales Department and carriers to find alternative placement for declined cases.
10. Verify and submit contracting.
11. Manage pending, written, approved and issued applications.
12. Provide backup to Receptionist by answering general phone line.
13. Perform any other duties or special projects related to the Senior Case Manager position as directed by the Underwriting Supervisor. Knowledge, Skills, and

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation.
